I've just used it in a rainstorm...it's missing 10 to 15 cm of chest protection.
You have to think about the pockets full of boxes in the chest!
As a result, water runs into and out of the pockets, and even into the waders if you lean backwards (crossing a tree in a river...).
Otherwise, a nice product to tide you over...on a walk.

It is perfectly designed to be worn over the vest or chest pack.
